South West Play is based in the bustling and picturesque port of Newlyn, England's largest fishing port and home to the largest fishing fleet in the UK with over 40 acres of harbour. The fishing industry is one of the most important in the county contributing millions of pounds to the Cornish economy each year.

Not forgetting our roots - South West Play traded as a chandlery for over a decade supplying the local community. Having now diversified, our craftsmen use their unrivalled knowledge and traditional rope work and net making skills to excel within the ever growing playground manufacturing industry. We still cater for the fishing industry supplying a varied range of marine netting.

Our prime location allows easy access to the A30. Our intention is to provide a competitive consultancy service, regionally, nationally and internationally. We supply and install specialist equipment anywhere and having established a reputation for quality we have been repeatedly commissioned to work on many prestigious projects, the most recent being The Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, London, a bespoke project to mark their 250th anniversary.
We have established an excellent relationship with Legoland (Windsor) Ltd. We have also dealt with Chessington World of Adventures and we are quickly developing relationships with more localised attractions such as Crealy's Great Adventure Park in Devon and Cornwall, Land's End, Flambard's, Dairyland Farm World, Paradise Park and the indoor play area The Play Zone.
A number of Playbuilder projects have involved us throughout the UK but perhaps our most lengthy and well deserved contract was in the London Borough of Lambeth, having secured £2.5 million to develop 28 play areas by 2011. The funding is being used to refurbish existing play areas or develop entirely new play areas. We worked closely with several of the leading architects who were awarded tenders since January 2010, designing, manufacturing and installing a vast range of bespoke rope work and netting which has now been installed.

destination for the funnel net is Cadbury World in Birmingham. We stock a vast
