Our unique Crows Nest Swing Seat design is designed for commercial use and offers the perfect refuge for children and the whole family including less able children.

Made from a steel ring wrapped with shock absorbing rope complete with 2 hanging ropes (overhead beam of 2.2m, but other sizes available on request) and stainless steel shackles. It also features armed rope webbing and suspension ropes for increased durability.

Designed for a maximum swing beam height of 2.2m, please note that these Crows Nest Swings Seats are often sold as replacements. The Crows Nest Swing Seat is the ideal opportunity for physically impaired children, with the support of a parent or carer, to participate in key experiences such as swinging and moving up and down.

SPECIFICATION:

The Crows Nest Swing Seat made from 16mm, 6 Strand Fibre Core Wire Reinforced Rope with flush fitting one piece aluminium cross connectors and two piece plastic tees with stainless steel screws. 22mm Polypropylene shock absorbing rope is wrapped around the galvanised steel frame. The Swing Seat comes with Nylon bearings, stainless steel shackles with suspension ropes and adjustable 8mm short link galvanised chain.

PLEASE NOTE: All sold with 22mm BLUE or GREEN Polypropylene Shock Absorbing border rope. The hanging ropes will be supplied in the same colour as the border rope.

SWING HANGERS: We also sell the universal swing hangers - 2 of which are required for commercial installations. We also sell Cantilver point fixing systems attached only at one point and can therefore move freely in every direction, enabling all kinds of group swinging, turning, spinning and swaying games (4 x ropes at 1600mm in length with 400mm x 6mm chain). Products always to be mounted according to EN 1176. Application: For group swings and hammocks only.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Assembly: 1 Adult x 20 minutes

Instructions for Commercial Installation: The hole for the safety pin should be drilled 16cms inside the main swing hook bolts and no part of the nest swing seat should be lower than 40cms from the ground. The two main swing hook bolts should be 190cm apart.

To calculate your Critical Fall Height, divide the chain length by 2 and then add the height of the swing at rest.

To calculate the length of your safety extent, multiply the chain length by 0.867, then add 2.25m. This is calculated from the centre of the seat while at rest. The width of your safety extent should be 125cms wider than the swing seat, or 1.75m minimum.

Safety Standards EN1176 The Eurpean Playground Safety Standard. Must be installed in accordance with EN1176, part 7.

Safety Perimeter: 2m minimum beyond the rope length is recommended.
